We love the Wall Street Journal, but this headline from Tuesday’s paper has to fall into the “well, duh!” category.

“Children’s seeming imperviousness to Covid-19’s worst effects has been one of the biggest mysteries – and reliefs of the pandemic. Now the reasons are coming into focus scientists say. Children mobilize a first line of defense known as the innate immune system more effectively than adults.”

We (and many other skeptics of shutting down schools and parks and sports leagues) have been saying this for two years – and we’re not even “scientists.”

What is the takeaway? Covid wasn’t dangerous to children: braindead politicians and selfish teacher unions were.
