The U.S. Senate could start voting as soon as today on a series of four COVID measures and at last bring back life to normal. These votes will put every senator on the record on key aspects of corona-mania as the pandemic fades.

The votes are:

• • • Marshall SJRes32: block and ban health care worker vaccine mandate
    • Marshall SJRes38: terminate COVID national emergency
    • Paul SJRes37: block and ban plane/public transport mask mandate
    • Thune SJRes39: block and ban Head Start 3+4yo mask mandate

Pelosi is likely to do all she can to block all these measures in the House if they pass the Senate.

But with the latest wave quickly disappearing nearly everywhere, the only possible justification for keeping them is that politicians – especially Democrats – like to boss people around.
