Congress has taken remote working to a new absurd low.
On the biggest vote of the year today, Fox reports: “According to the clerk of the House, 152 members submitted proxy letters as of late Thursday morning. Those letters designate a certain member as able to vote in-person on behalf of the member sending the letter.”
Proxy voting is a complete farce; these members have all officially claimed in writing that they are unable to attend votes in person because of COVID – while they hold public campaign events and fundraisers, go on vacation, etc.
Shouldn’t they respect their voters enough to at least show up for the floor debate and vote In person?
