To add insult to injury, not only are many members not showing up for the vote, they don’t even know what they are voting for. No one knows what this bill will cost.

The House is rushing to spend hundreds of billions of your tax dollars to copy the green energy policy Europe is already abandoning – but the exact dollar amount remains a mystery, because the various Senate amendments haven’t been scored yet.

In fact, Thursday the CBO said: “It will be a few weeks before we can fully analyze and estimate those budgetary effects, at which point we will provide a complete cost estimate for the legislation.”

So not only is Congress not showing up in person for the vote, they don’t even know what they are voting for!

Which raises a question: why are the Democrats in such a rush to recklessly approve the bill before there is a score? Why not wait until next month?
