Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer, a fanatical lockdown governor and potential Democratic presidential candidate, still pretends her policies saved lives, but she told Chris Wallace of HBO this week:
“There were moments where, you know, we had to make some decisions that in retrospect don’t make a lot of sense, right? If you went into the hardware store, you could go to the hardware store, but we didn’t want people all congregating around the gardening supplies. It was February in Michigan, no one was planting anyway…”
(It was actually April – planting season – but Gretchen always has a problem getting her facts straight.)
