Liberals are desperate for a message that will appeal to the millions of middle-class voters who are fleeing their ideas. They’ve discovered that the problem with America is the billionaires.

That’s been the mantra of New York’s mayoral candidate and shooting star Zohran Mamdani, and is now gaining steam with other leftist candidates across the country.

Graham Platner, a leading Democratic candidate for U.S.Senate against Susan Collins in Maine, declares in an introductory video: “The problem is the billionaires.”

He’s promising to “relentlessly fight the egregious income inequality that’s destroying this country.”

Out of curiosity we Googled how many billionaires live in Maine: there is one, Susan Alfond, an heir to the Dexter shoe company empire. Chase her out and Maine suddenly becomes a worker’s paradise.
