We warned last week that the doubling in global oil prices would incite a new round of crazy remedies ranging from Stalinistic energy consumption rationing to a repeat of the idiocy of Jimmy Carter-era energy price controls. After all, the left thinks fossil fuels are even more dangerous for the planet than a killer virus.

So we weren’t surprised when our go-to guy on global warming fanaticism, Mark Morano of Climate Depot, called our attention to all the government controls that the International Energy Agency is recommending to counteract high gas prices.  Here are some of the government controls recommended in the report “Sheltering from Oil Shocks”:
