1) Biden Govzilla Plan Means Eight Million Fewer Americans Will Be Working
Please, please read the blockbuster piece by our senior fellow Casey Mulligan of the University of Chicago and Vance Ginn an economist at Texas Public Policy Foundation in today’s Wall Street Journal.
The oped features a newly released Committee to Unleash Prosperity study estimating that the Biden Build Back Better bill creates so many new welfare entitlements – all disconnected from work requirements – that at the end of the decade we would 8.7 million FEWER Americans working. Remember: under the Biden BBB, everything is free.
Ironically, this is a bill that is supposed to CREATE millions of jobs. As we noted last week, the tax increases in the bill destroy nearly 5 million jobs. But if by some unworldly chance this bill actually did create jobs, there wouldn’t be any available workers to fill them.
2) Food Prices Predicted To Jump 10% In Next 60 Days
Yikes. Here’s a brutal prediction from a real food industry insider – CTUP honorary chairman John Catsimatidis.
“I see food prices going up tremendously. Stores want to be ahead of the curve and the way they’re doing it is they’re dropping all promotions. They are dropping slow-moving items.”
