America In Last Place In Ending Mask Mandates

Above we talk about America falling behind on economic freedom.

A prime example from recent weeks: European airlines are sprinting ahead of the U.S. in abandoning mask mandates.

Norwegian Airlines and Britain’s Jet2 airline now say a mask is now optional on its flights, following up on Dutch KLM’s decision not to enforce the mandate.

In the U.S., a federal mask mandate still applies to everyone on a plane, train, bus, or inside a public transportation facility. The mandate must be renewed on April 18 or expire. A bipartisan majority in the Senate voted to end it, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has shown zero interest in allowing the issue to come to the floor for a vote.
