The NatCons (big government “conservatives”) and the Bernie Sanders income redistributors keep perpetuating the myth that the middle class has made no progress over the last several decades. It’s a canard.

The Wall Street Journal shows that ALL income groups have made substantial progress in income over time. The rich have grown a lot richer, but since the 1970s, the average middle class household has seen a near $40,000 income gain.

At the same time, AEI’s Scott Winship has produced a chart showing impressive gains for young men.
