This is not an April Fool’s joke.  The Alaska State Senate has passed a $100 million per year tax hike on oil.  As if prices at the pump aren’t already high enough right now.

Governor Mike Dunleavy has a much better idea to boost the state’s economy, energy production, and affordable energy: a tax cut to get the state’s natural gas pipeline and LNG export terminal built.  We side firmly with the governor.
