The Democrats are lap dogs for the big labor bosses and every provision in their sham Infrastructure bill and the $3.5 Govzilla bill is a giveaway to the union friends.
The corruption of the unions is now an epidemic with the jails full of Labor Bosses ripping off their members. (For evidence of this, just go the website unionfacts.com.)
So we were disgusted, but hardly shocked, to learn from our friends at the Commonwealth Partners that John “Johnny Doc” Dougherty, one of the most powerful Labor Leaders in Pennsylvania, has been convicted of conspiracy in his federal bribery trial on eight of 11 charges.
Among other things, Johnny Doc was convicted of using union funds for personal gain and handing out bribes to Philadelphia Councilman Bobby Henon.
Bribery! Conspiracy! Theft! From a man who used his union political war chest like his own piggy bank to dole out favors to politicians who do his bidding? Never!
Johnny Doc spent more than $1.5 million to elect his brother, Kevin Dougherty, to the state Supreme Court in 2015, and he gave more than $1.2 million to PA Gov. Wolf’s campaigns for governor.
Congrats to Commonwealth Partners for highlighting these crimes across the state and making sure that Dougherty was brought to justice.
When politicians like PA attorney general Josh Shapiro – a leading Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate – take $250,000 of donations from corrupt union cronies, they have a moral obligation to give that money back to the union members or donate it to charities. This became a hot issue in the state Supreme Court race that Republican Kevin Brobson won this November.
