Congressional Democrats keep saying Trump is the danger to democracy, but isn’t illegal voting the real danger?

Democrats in the Senate keep insisting they have no objection to a simple photo ID requirement for voting in federal elections.

They justified their opposition to the Save America Act because of provisions requiring documentary proof of citizenship rather than the wildly popular voter ID requirement.  So much for that.

Put to the test on a simple voter photo ID amendment by Ohio Senator Jon Husted, all 47 Senate Democrats voted no:

Democrat Jeff Merkley of Oregon even proposed an alternative – to BAN all STATE voter ID laws.
