Speaking of California, Bernie Sanders swept into town last week, whipping up support for a 5% statewide wealth tax on billionaires.
CNN Host, Elex Michaelson, told Bernie “We’ve already seen Larry Page, Peter Thiel, David Sacks, Larry Ellison start to move out of this state.”
Sanders self-righteously replied: “The idea that they are saying that it’s okay for children to die [sic], people not get the healthcare they need [sic], and they’re going to punish the people of California [sic], that is outrageous.”
Then he added: “That is why I will be introducing a national wealth tax. Where are they going to run then?”
Well let’s see. There’s Switzerland, Monte Carlo, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and a dozen other places that welcome, rather than punish wealth and job creation.
