Through August of this year, the inflation rate under Trump has averaged 3% versus 5% under Biden. The Iran war has added about 1.5% to the inflation rate.

If we compare basic consumer products, we see that most items rose faster in price during the Biden presidency. The notable exceptions are gas, beef, and coffee. Trump tariffs have bumped up inflation. Now might be a good time to pull back on those.
