Lina Kahn, the “woke” 33-year-old academic who is chair of the Federal Trade Commission, finally has a three to two Democratic majority on her side. So it’s Johnny bar the door for the coming progressive onslaught against American businesses. Here is a sample of the FTC’s “to-do list”:

1. 1. 1. A potential antitrust suit against Amazon.
      2. A crackdown on middlemen blamed for increasing pharmaceutical prices — while taking steps to protect consumer privacy.
      3. Investigating and potentially blocking Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.
      4. Severe new limitations on mergers and acquisitions for tech companies.

We’ve argued that these kind of hyperactive rule-making activities at the FTC that played in nearly wrecking parts of the U.S. economy in the 1970s. Tim Muris has just co-authored a piece in the Wall Street Journal issuing the same warnings.
