Biggest Winner from “Local News” Tax Break is Gannett

We were wondering why the cap on tax credits equal to the employer side of payroll taxes for “local news employees” was juiced from a cap of 750 employees to 1,500 in the latest version of BBB.  We congratulate Gannett’s lobbyists.

AP reports “Gannett, one of the nation’s largest remaining newspaper chains, could gain as much as $127.5 million over five years.”

So, let’s see: this bill has tax billions of dollars of giveaways to the unions, trial lawyers, green energy lobby, and now the liberal media.  What do they all have in common?
