We predicted on these pages after Trump’s election two years ago that the world was about to undergo a Trumpian power-to-the-people revolution.

We don’t always get it right, but after this week’s elections, it looks like Brazil may be the next country to oust a corrupt and leftist government. Here’s the lede in today’s WSJ:

“Flávio Bolsonaro dealt President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva a bruising first-round defeat Sunday, finishing ahead of the leftist leader and putting Brazil’s right within reach of taking back power in Latin America’s largest nation.”

Brazil is the largest country in South America. It has more than 200 million people. Flavio needs some further education on economics, but if he moves toward Milei-type policies in Argentina, Brazil will see a big comeback.

If these trends continue, soon the only socialist and anti-freedom places in the Americas will be California, New York, Seattle, and Chicago. Oh and Canada.
