We are still rolling on the ground in laughter at this headline:

California is losing more businesses, more millionaires, and more jobs than any other state (with the possible exception of New York) and yet the pols in Sacramento can’t figure out what to do. What’s the old saying: they are so smart they can’t tell the difference between a horse and a cow.

We can think of three things Gavin Newsom could do overnight that would make California the Golden State great again: 1) adopt a flat rate 5% income tax; 2) make California a right-to-work state; and 3) put violent criminals in jail.

None of these are to be found in Gavin Newsom’s California Comeback Plan.

What is for sure is that no state needs a comeback plan more than once-mighty California.
