California’s Anti-Energy Policies Make California Dependent on OPEC

California used to be a top oil-producing state, but as Ronald Stein of the Heartland Institute notes, it is now “the only state in contiguous America that imports most of its crude oil feedstock to in-state refineries from foreign countries.”

Imports have risen from just 5 percent of California’s refinery feedstocks in 1992 to more than 75 percent today.

Where does California get its oil?

By the way, California is one of the most oil and gas-rich places in the world. How catastrophic would it be if Biden succeeded in taking California’s policies national?
