Last week, the House passed the SAVE America Act, which would require a photo ID to vote in federal elections and some proof of citizenship to register to vote.

Only one out of 214 House Democrats – Henry Cuellar of Texas – voted in favor and to send it to the Senate. In floor debate, some even repeated Senator Chuck Schumer’s canard that the SAVE Act was a form of  “Jim Crow 2.0,” even though 71% of Democrats support ID requirements.

In other words, the Democratic Caucus in the House of Representatives may be the only place in America – other than perhaps the Harvard faculty lounge -where election integrity is unpopular.
