It’s looking more possible than ever that Donald Trump could achieve what every president since JFK (except Joe Biden) has attempted to do: Free Cuba.

This could be the next socialist domino in Latin America, and it’s looking shakier and shakier.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been holding talks with the grandson of Cuban dictator Raul Castro outside official Havana channels.

Cuba has a fundamental choice to make. Faced with a tightening U.S. oil blockade and the consequences of 67 years of socialism, its economy is shutting down. The island is rationing fuel, imposing blackouts, and international airlines have suspended flights.

This could be one of the greatest pro-freedom foreign policy and national security triumphs since the toppling of the Berlin Wall if Cuba turned to freedom and free enterprise.

Cuba could rapidly become the Hong Kong of the western hemisphere.

If Trump and Rubio succeed, would that win them a Nobel Peace Prize? Probably not!
