Well, maybe.

This A.P. Headline sure gives us hope:

Cuba’s already hobbled economy is sinking in part because of the sanctions and the Trump energy embargo.

The new “emergency economic plan” is expected to push for “expanding private enterprise, greater autonomy for municipalities” and “policies to attract additional foreign investment.”

Cuba’s communist government wants to adopt the Vietnam and China models of development – hopefully more of the former than the latter.

The median Cuban-American household had an income of $71,000 in the most recent Census data. Compare that to a recent survey in Cuba that found the median household income there is about $5,000.

Meanwhile, under communism, Cuba’s economy has been flat for fifty years, while the U.S. has soared.

Trump should keep the pressure on. He has the opportunity to do what none of the previous 11 presidents over the past 50 years could do: liberate Cuba.
