Are we now a nation of introverts?
This recent poll suggests that Americans are less likely than ever to socialize with friends, family, and neighbors. We are less likely to go to church, a barbecue, volunteer, etc.
But at least we’re exercising more.
In our leisure hours we’re much more likely to sit by ourselves and stare at a screen all day.
The negative consequences of this social isolation are becoming more obvious every passing day. What we do about it is less obvious.
One first step for parents is to limit screen time for kids who are now getting addicted at age three.
