Democrats Still Lag GOP In Approval Ratings

Republicans have been getting wiped out in almost every local and state election over the past six months, so voters are clearly not thrilled with the GOP.

Donald Trump’s popularity has fallen to the lowest point of his second term – just 39 percent.

But a new CNN poll showed that the approval rating for Democrats is four points lower than for Republicans. And consider this bombshell from the CNN article:

While Trump’s 35% approval rating is 7 points lower than it was at this point in the 2018 midterm cycle, the Democratic Party’s net favorability has shifted from about even then to net negative by nearly 30 points now.

It’s easy to see why, given the Left’s focus on taxing, spending, and regulating – and pushing social and economic issues – like climate change and men in women’s sports – that appeal to a fringe minority. A Gallup poll from last year showed that liberals make up 59 percent of the party – up from just 25 percent in 1994.

Thus the amusingly anguished headline over a recent New York Times column: “Why Are So Many Democratic Politicians So Far Out of Touch?”
