Over 60 percent of San Francisco voters have thrown radical District Attorney Chesa Boudin out of office.

Boudin’s soft-on-crime record fueled public anger over what Mayor London Breed called “all the bullshit that has destroyed our city” — aggressive shoplifting, rampant car burglaries, open-air drug use, filthy homeless encampments, and sidewalks turned into toilets.

Boudin ignored those concerns and blamed “right-wing billionaires” for exploiting the “frustrations” of voters.

Left-wing groups who back progressive prosecutors vowed to protect others facing recalls, such as George Gascon in Los Angeles.

“Boudin was made a scapegoat for a city facing numerous societal challenges, many of which existed before he took office,” Miriam Krinsky, head of the group Fair and Just Prosecution, whined to reporters.

It won’t be easy to dislodge other radical DA’s, but San Francisco proves that if can happen there it truly can happen anywhere.
