Regular Hotline readers know full well of that blue states have little or no population growth, while the mountain and southern states expand.
California is projected to lose four House seats in the 2030 Census reapportionment. New York, Minnesota, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Illinois are all on track to lose one each. Meanwhile, Texas is projected to gain four seats and Republican Florida is set to gain two. Conservative states are on track to add ten electoral votes while liberal states are projected to lose nine electoral votes ahead of the 2032 presidential election.
This could be another 6 to 10 electoral votes and congressional seats for the GOP after 2030.
