Oklahoma has an open Senate seat because the incumbent, Sen. Markwayne Mullin, has been tapped by Trump to run the Department of Homeland Security.

Harold would be filling an eight month job, but given that we are confronting a Middle East energy supply disruption, the Senate desperately needs someone from the private sector who understands oil and gas policy. Hamm has the technical expertise and 40 years of experience in energy markets. He knows fracking; he knows pipelines; he knows LNG terminals and permitting. He got rich doing it. Maybe he could help make the country rich with drill baby drill policies.
