According to the story: The Roxbury school district is giving everyone a day off next week because:
‘With all of the stresses of this year and the upcoming wonderful, albeit exhausting, holiday season, we have decided to use one of our emergency days to close the district on Friday, December 10th,’ Roxbury Superintendent Loretta L. Radulic wrote in a letter to parents three days before Thanksgiving.
Just what kids need after a year of school shutdowns: another day off. We also, can’t help wondering if this will mean another paid vacation day for the teacher union members.
Thanks to CTUP board member Frayda Levy for calling this one to our attention.
