The German police have found a clever way to break up protests against the country’s draconian lockdown measures: use giant 1.5 meter (5 feet) rulers to enforce social distancing rules.
Police officers were captured on video almost comically holding the rules to measure how apart people were at various protest rallies. In Frankfurt, one demonstration collapsed because it was held in an area where 5 foot distancing between people wasn’t possible.
Anger has been mounting in Germany after the government announced earlier this month that the unvaccinated are barred from access to all but the most essential businesses such as grocery stores and pharmacies.
