As we noted in yesterday’s HOTLINE, about the only people in Europe with air-conditioning are the rich and privileged. Today, Europe has lower air-conditioning adoption than some third world countries.

While 9 out of 10 American households have AC, fewer than 3 of 10 Europeans and Brits do.  A larger percentage of American households had AC in 1975 than do Europeans today – fifty years later!

Amazingly, a larger percentage of Mexican homes have AC than European homes.

What is sad and ironic about this is that the Europeans running around the planet like Chicken Littles spreading fears of a global warming apocalypse. If the planet is heating up, wouldn’t that mean you’d want more, not less, air conditioning?
