Is The U.S. Economy Stalling Out?

The latest GDP forecast (GDP NOW) from the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank through February 25, covering the first two months of 2022, has come in at a rate of 0.6%. That’s economic anemia. And that was BEFORE the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

So we have a witches brew of 7.5% inflation and less than 1% GDP growth so far this year.

Meanwhile, leading Democratic political pundits are advising Joe to take a victory lap on the economy during his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.  Here is what Donna Brazile, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee told ABC News on Sunday:

“I know that there’s a great challenge not to appear joyful, but you know what? Compared to where we were a year ago, two years ago, four years, I think we’re in better shape…..I can’t speak for every American. I can only speak for myself.”

Do we need any further evidence that people living in the Washington, D.C. swamp are completely out of touch with real America.
