Another federal judge has blocked one of President Biden’s federal mandates. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty ruled on Saturday that teachers in the Head Start program for kids under the age of 6 cannot be forced into vaccinations. In addition, students over the age of two can’t be required to wear masks indoors. Twenty-four states sued to block the absurd mandate.
Doughty, a Trump appointee, wrote that his ruling was based on the Constitution’s separation of powers doctrine:
“If the Executive branch is allowed to usurp the power of the Legislative branch to make laws, then this country is no longer a democracy — it is a monarchy.”
