Democrats keep insisting that they have the solutions to the affordability problem.

We’ve shown many times on these pages that blue state policies and politicians can’t possibly be the solution to the affordability issue. That’s because blue states have costs that are 20, 30 and 40% higher costs for food, health care, housing, gas, etc. than red states with lower tax rates, fewer wage and price interventions (like high minimum wages), and less regulation.

It would be as witless a strategy as saying: we are going to raise incomes by becoming more like Bangladesh.
