The big winner has been Florida, where net income has soared by 50% thanks to interstate migration over the past decade. No wonder they don’t need an income tax.

Idaho and Nevada (another no income tax state) have also prospered from people moving in.

The big losers: New York, Illinois, Alaska, New Jersey and California. All very high tax states except for cold and remote Alaska. California’s solution to all the money leaving is to impose a wealth tax on its citizens. Brilliant.
