As New York Mayor Mamdani continues his socialist crusade to kick NYC down “the road to serfdom,” and soon bankrupt America’s largest city, he now defends his “warm embrace” strategy by invoking the name of the renowned late economist FA Hayek.
In a comical video, Zohran quotes “FRY-drick” Hayek: “If socialists understood economics, they wouldn’t be socialists.” Then he asserted that actually socialists “clean up the problems left by capitalists (sic).”
Only two problems with that assessment: 1) for more than 12 consecutive years, socialists, not free marketeers, have run the city. And 2) Zohran hasn’t fixed a single problem.
