Speaking of waste, it’s fun to watch Liberals so fervently slam Elon Musk, as they gallantly defend government waste and fraud. One possible reason: the fraud enriches THEM.

But to their credit, several former Obama aides who host the progressive ”Obama Bros” podcast “Pod Save America” admit they should’ve done “some of the stuff” that Donald Trump and Elon Musk are pursuing with DOGE.

Jon Lovett, a former Obama speechwriter, confessed, “Honestly… it’s some of the stuff we should’ve done. We didn’t know you could do some of this.”

Jon Favreau, another Obama speechwriter, said that while the Obama administration tried to tame some of the bureaucracy, it didn’t get far.

“We all know that government is slow. We all know government can be inefficient. We all know that the bureaucracy can be bloated,” he told his listeners. “We tried to reorganize the government. We tried to find efficiency. It’s hard to do.” But not for Elon.

That’s why the new story that Elon Musk and DOGE are writing is so important. It’s the first time since Ronald Reagan that a serious effort has been made to uncover the waste and to take a powerful microscope to discover whether it’s real.
