KTSP Minnesota reports:
A Minnesota House committee sought answers Monday to questions raised by an independent third-party report that indicated 90% of claims for state funds to pay for autism services might have been flagged as possibly fraudulent.
“That’s a stunning number,” said Rep. Kristin Robbins… chair of the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee. “And in the specifics, they talk about some very basic stuff, like some of these companies had no phone numbers. They had no website. So please tell me how those places were even allowed to bill a dime to the state?”
Good question.
