President Biden met privately at the White House with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and other mayors who went to Washington D.C. seeking federal assistance to deal with the influx of migrants.

This is rich: For years, Democrat mayors have been sanctimoniously touting their support for letting illegal migrants into their cities.  But now that the costs of these “all-are-welcome here” platitudes, they want Uncle Sam to pay the costs of their own policy errors. By the way, the Chicago Tribune has suggested the idea of bringing up Sanctuary City policies to a referendum vote in the cities, Great idea.
