Among many tragically wrong edicts by Walensky was her declaration that schools should not be opened until kids were vaccinated. At that point about half the country had been open for months, and it was only left-wing enclaves holding out with moving target demands from teachers unions.
Walensky parroted a litany of Biden administration absurdities – including citing known-erroneous pediatric COVID numbers, asserting that masks are 80 percent effective, and supporting vaccine mandates on college kids.
A review by ace COVID data guru Kelley Krohnert and colleagues found that under Walensky’s regime, the CDC almost always exaggerated COVID risks and encouraged societal disruption.
UCSF professor Vinay Prasad, one of the paper’s coauthors, is exactly right: telling the truth about Walensky should be a litmus test for the next director.
