We’ve always said that yes we need an independent Federal Reserve Board, but also one that is accountable to SOMEONE.

If not, it becomes the most economically powerful agency of government with virtually NO oversight or accountability to anyone.  Sorry, the Fed isn’t like the Pope. We learned under Jerome Powell, who had the worst record on inflation since the 1970s, how fallible the Fed can be.

So the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision yesterday that President Trump can’t fire Lisa Cook because “the Federal Reserve’s Governors do not serve at the President’s pleasure,” is clearly unconstitutional.
