It’s natural for every generation to worry whether their kids are ready to take over the country. That’s especially true now as we see so many 20- and 30-somethings attracted to far out socialist candidates like Zohran Mamdani, who could be elected the next mayor of New York City thanks to a wave of support from disillusioned young voters.
Those of us who are baby boomers share the blame for allowing our kids to be indoctrinated by the most culturally and economically left-wing institution in America – the teachers union.
For whatever reasons, new data from the U.S. Census finds that only 21% of adults between the ages of 25 and 34 have hit the four major milestones of becoming a fully functional adult: living away from their parents, having a job, getting married, and having children. That’s down from 45% who hit all four milestones in 1975.
We’ve raised the alarm on the decline in marriage and the worrisome, rapid decline in birth rates.
But the Generation Z cohort better start growing up before they start growing old or we’re facing real problems as a nation.
