Trump has wisely promised to direct federal education dollars to states with school choice programs so that the money goes to the parents and the kids, not the education blob.
This has inspired states to expand their education freedom programs within the next week. Our friends at ALEC report that we have four red states with major school choice legislation ready to move. They are Wyoming, Idaho, South Carolina, and the big enchilada – Texas.
The Texas program is more than $1 billion and offers kids like these up to $10,000 tuition assistance:
If these four states succeed, it could mean expanded education options for roughly six million kids. Most of these kids helped will be lower-income minorities.
