The Washington Post Has Lost Half its Readers

This story nearly brought tears to our eyes:

The Washington Post lost $77 million last year – in large part because publisher Will Lewis announced that the paper’s readership has fallen by 50% in four years.

It seems that The Post is in a race with the Los Angeles Times and CNN (which lost $400 million last year) to see which news outlet can go bankrupt first.
And for a silver lining to this story, our CTUP ace reporters have discovered that most of the lost Washington Post readers are now subscribers to the HOTLINE!

Help, We’ve fallen and we can’t get up!

Will Lewis, Washington Post CEO.
