Finally, the federal government is shrinking.
As we noted last month, the Pew Research Center study validates HOTLINE’s analysis showing the size of the federal workforce down by 10.3% in 2025.

Through the first year of Trump’s second term, about 238,000 fewer Americans were getting a government paycheck than when Biden left office. That number is now closer to 300,000.
Three times as many federal workers left the government payrolls than joined the federal workforce.
Kudos to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, and Housing Secretary Scott Turner for leading the way in government downsizing and for helping Trump drain the swamp. And we’re also pleased that Trump has all but eliminated the corrupt USAID foreign aid racket.
