Verizon Invests $149 Million In Florida Because 250K Of IIs Customers Moved There

Verizon is citing a “massive, pandemic-related influx of people into Florida and investing $149 million in Florida. The company says that from January 2020 to April 2022, over 250,000 Verizon wireless customers moved to Florida, causing network congestion.

Peak-hour Verizon wireless network traffic changes:

      • Orlando +408%
      • Miami +364%
      • Glades +271%
      • Collier +257%
      • Fort Myers +173%
      • West Palm +165%
      • Tampa +135%

No such congestion issues in New Jersey and New York.
