OMG, 2025 is off to a spectacular start. The state legislature in Nashville just approved a nearly half-a-billion-dollar program allowing low-income kids to choose the school of their choice. We’re still learning all the details of the new program, but a big shoutout to Tennessee Governor Bill Lee for carrying this law over the goal line.
At this pace, by the end of next year, virtually every red state will have adopted school choice. As readers know, we’ve teamed with ALEC and Jeanne Allen (Yass Prize) to provide funds and a support network for outstanding school choice programs across the country. Our goal is to achieve “25 by 25.” By this, we meant half the states adopting school choice programs by the end of 2025.
We may just get there.
