House Ways and Means Committee chairman Jason Smith is suggesting a tax on the $840 billion college endowments.

We LOVE this idea, and it’s high past time that fat and entitled universities pay “their fair share.” Why not? Their professors forever lecture about tax “fairness.”

It turns out that the biggest loophole in the tax code is tax free university endowments. These treasure chests will soon eclipse $1 trillion.
