The Anti-Schoolers Are Back

Don’t say you weren’t warned. The same people who catastrophically closed schools for over a year in blue America – and never admitted it was a mistake despite overwhelming evidence – are of course gearing up to do it again.

Washington Examiner reporter Tim Carney sees warning signs of school closures in January. Stanford University will begin its winter quarter with two weeks of online instruction. Teacher unions are declaring the new omicron variant will likely mean that schools can’t reopen in January, the time when hospitalizations peaked this year.

In Britain, scores of schools and colleges are closing early for Christmas, in defiance of national government rules. The Guardian newspaper reports “school leaders in England are preparing for an extended switch to online learning in January, with many ensuring that pupils take laptops and textbooks home for the holidays.”
