Southern California is normally a lovely place to visit in February, when most of the country is in a deep freeze. Not this year.
Governor Gavin Newsom’s statewide mask mandate will be in effect, and various other wildly creative, destructive, and useless COVID theater restrictions are likely to be enforced. Hence the chatter about the Big Game escaping, perhaps to the Free State of Texas. Seems like a no-brainer.
THIS JUST IN: California's indoor mask mandate was set to expire on Jan. 15. It has just been extended to Feb. 15.
Super Bowl LVI is scheduled to take place Feb. 13 at SoFi Stadium but the NFL is looking at possible alternate venues, including AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
